Barry Manilow recently did a show for the Today show. Wow, it sure appears plain to see that he has had some major facial cosmetic surgery done ! According to the National Enquirer (Aug 6, 2007), he underwent a facelift in 1995, another facelift with upper and lower blepharoplasty in 2003, and an additional facelift in 2006, as well as regular Botox injections.
When you compare his early photos (circa 1978 era) with the photo taken just a week ago, you can see that his brows and eyelids look reasonably similar. However, his cheeks, appear quite a bit fuller now, possibly signifying overdone fat grafting, cheek implants, or both. His skin has an unnaturally taut appearance for a 61 year old man, a sign of the previously mentioned face lifts with possible chemical peels or even laser treatments.
While it’s nice to hear that his voice sounds as pristine as ever, it might be more appealing to see a bit more natural aging to his face. Maybe Barry should dedicate his song, “I Can’t Smile Without You,” to his plastic surgeon !!

Several news agencies are reporting that the cosmetic surgeon who taped the late Anna Nicole Smith’s breast augmentation surgery is attempting to sell the tape to a memorabilia dealer. A judge recently issued a temporary restraining order against the release of the 1994 tape at the request of Howard K. Stern. The cosmetic surgeon stated that he routinely records surgeries with the patient’s permission and promised to keep the video confidential “during the patient’s lifetime.”

It is actually a very common medical practice for the doctor to take before and after photos of surgery patients, and only use the photos with their consent. It would certainly appear to be a breach of medical privacy laws and if nothing else is just plain old sleazy on the part of Anna’s former cosmetic surgeon. Either way, Anna certainly has a pair that men just love to love.
